There’s nothing quite like the electric energy of Broadway in Nashville — a neon-lit, honky-tonk paradise where live music spills onto the streets and cowboy boots are practically mandatory. Kerry from the Amaco office had the chance to experience it all firsthand, and trust us, she’s got some stories to tell!
From iconic bars to legendary music halls and mouthwatering Southern eats, Nashville is more than just a destination—it’s an experience. Whether you’re a die-hard country music fan or just love a good live gig, this city knows how to put on a show.
The moment Kerry stepped onto Broadway, she was surrounded by the city’s famous honky-tonks, each one packed with talented musicians hoping to be the next big thing. She kicked off her night at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, the same bar where legends like Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, and Hank Williams once performed. From there, she bar-hopped her way to Luke’s 32 Bridge (owned by country star Luke Bryan), Kid Rock’s Big Honky Tonk, and even JBJ’s Nashville (because who wouldn’t want to grab a drink at Jon Bon Jovi’s bar?).
But even if country music isn’t your thing, Broadway is still a must-visit. With its buzzing atmosphere, glowing neon signs, and live music on every corner, it’s impossible not to get caught up in the excitement. And, of course, no trip to Nashville is complete without picking up a pair of authentic cowboy boots—because if you’re going to hit the town, you might as well do it in style!
Kerry made sure to dive deep into Nashville’s rich music history, exploring some of the city’s most incredible museums.
🎶 The Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum – Just off Broadway, this is where country music’s biggest stars are immortalized. From Elvis’s gold Cadillac to Dolly Parton’s rhinestone-studded outfits, every exhibit tells a story.
🎸 The Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum – This one quickly became Kerry’s favorite. It’s not just about country—this museum celebrates musicians from rock, R&B, blues, and soul, highlighting the unsung heroes behind some of the most legendary recordings of all time.
🔥 Johnny Cash & Patsy Cline Museum – Two absolute icons in one space? Yes, please! Kerry spent hours here, soaking in rare memorabilia, handwritten lyrics, and even Johnny Cash’s famous black suit.
🎤 National Museum of African American Music – This museum is an absolute must-visit, tracing the incredible contributions of African American artists across jazz, blues, soul, gospel, hip-hop, R&B, rock, and, yes, even country.
A visit to The Ryman Auditorium is like stepping into music history. Known as the “Mother Church of Country Music,” this legendary venue has hosted everyone from Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton to Elvis Presley. Kerry couldn’t help but be awed by the acoustics and the sheer energy of the place, imagining what it must have been like during the early days of the Grand Ole Opry.
You can’t go to Nashville without spicing things up—literally! Kerry braved the heat at Hattie B’s Hot Chicken, a Nashville institution. She also stopped by Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack, where the dish was accidentally invented as an act of revenge by a scorned girlfriend—only for the guy to love it so much that he started a restaurant!
Of course, you can’t visit Tennessee without indulging in a whiskey tasting. Kerry made her way to Jack Daniel’s Distillery, Nelson’s Green Brier, and The Nashville Craft Distillery, where she sampled some of the smoothest bourbons around.
Want to see all the top sights without missing a beat? Kerry highly recommends hopping on a Nashville Trolley Tour. With stops at Broadway, the Ryman Auditorium, the Country Music Hall of Fame, Music Row, and even the Parthenon (yes, Nashville has a full-scale replica of the Greek landmark!), it’s the easiest way to soak up the city’s history.
For vintage car lovers, a stop at Marathon Automobiles Nashville is a must—where you can check out classic cars and even visit the famous Antique Archaeology store from American Pickers.
Whether you’re a music lover, a foodie, or just looking for a city with soul, Nashville delivers. Kerry’s verdict? Music City is a place that you feel as much as you see. From the live music and neon lights to the fiery hot chicken and smooth Tennessee whiskey, it’s an experience you won’t forget.
So, are you ready to put on your cowboy boots and hit the town? Nashville is waiting! 🤠🎶
