Amaco Small Group Tours is pleased to announce their first Women Only Luxury Tour to Jordan.
Amaco has carefully designed a luxury bespoke experience, immersing you in new cultures and once in a lifetime experiences. Our tour caters for adventure-seeking women who would like to join other like-minded travellers in discovering the historical and cultural wonders of Jordan. We’ll take a deeper look at this diverse country beginning with the country’s capital Amman.
You’ll begin your journey of cultural immersion with a visit to the Amman Citadel. Watch the sunset overlooking the city before you sit down for your first mouth watering taste of Jordanian cuisine at one of the best restaurants in town.
Your specially selected local guide will lead you through the ancient streets of Amman sharing the sights, sounds and smells of this bustling city. You’ll enjoy your first local Knafe (a Jordanian delicacy) at one of the most famous cafés in the Middle East. You’ll enjoy lunch at Beit Khariat Souf, a historical and cultural heritage home of the Batarseh family. The home was renovated and created a haven for local women to create and manage various projects to financially support themselves. Supported by the Princess Alia Foundation, you’ll enjoy an amazing home-style meal prepared by local women.
After lunch, you’ll continue onto the ruins of the ancient Roman city of Jerash. You’ll be guided through one of the most intact Greco-Roman settlements outside of Italy with stories of chariot races, Zeus and his daughter Artemis, the protector of Jerash.
We’ll head back to downtown Amman to an Arab cooking class where you’ll learn to create memorable dishes to add to your cooking repertoire back home.
Leaving the city behind you’ll head southwest to Madaba, an ancient market town famed for its Byzantine mosaics. You’ll see the promised land yourself from Mt.Nebo standing at the place where Moses first looked out across the Dead Sea to Israel.
Do not hesitate to give us a call. One of our expert team is available and would be happy to answer any questions you have.

You’ll journey further south on the King’s Highway, an ancient trading route that took Arabs to Mecca, and Israelites to the promised land. Along the way, you’ll visit the Crusader castle of Kerak, one of the largest intact castles in the Levant.
Petra will surely win as one of the most impressive sights on this earth. Leave the modern world behind as you immerse yourself in the Rose City.
Chiselled from the pink sandstone cliffs, the city of Petra deserves at least 2 days. You’ll need your walking shoes to experience the vastness of the ancient city consisting of over 500 tombs and monuments. You’ll linger and experience what others have never seen as we enter via the lesser know Little Petra and visit archaeological wonders not normally visited by others. We might even get to join in on an archaeological dig….
You’ll soak away your tired muscles in a Turkish Hamman before heading south on the Desert Highway to Wadi Rum. It’s a camel ride to our luxurious Bedouin camp, where you’ll revel under the desert stars and watch the sunset over the Valley of the Moon as you get to experience the local Bedouin application of Kohl & Henna. You’ll get to explore the dunes and majestic rock formations and walk in the footsteps of the great explorers, like Lawrence of Arabia and Gertrude Bell.
Finish the evening with a festive Bedouin BBQ Dinner before heading off to sleep in your own luxurious tent.
You’ll then head from the sand to the sea… the Red Sea to be more specific.
Enjoy your time on board our privately chartered boat as it sails on the Red Sea, renowned the world over for its underwater wonders. Grab a snorkel and enjoy the hidden wrecks and coral reefs of this extraordinary body of water which has six countries bordering its shores. If you prefer, simply lie back and revel in the memories of the last few day’s activities and experiences. You’ll be spending the evening at one of the most luxurious resorts in Aqaba.
Your journey then continues to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. Here, you can float on the saline waters and cover yourself with the healing mud that once lured King Herod, the Queen of Sheba and Cleopatra to its shores.
Emerge from the waters renewed and then venture to the shores of the Jordan River to Bethany and Beyond, the site of the baptism of Jesus. Religious or not, you’ll be moved by the pilgrim’s faith on the opposite shore in Israel, seen on many occasions travelling to share the waters and be baptized as Jesus was.
You’ll have time to relax and enjoy the luxurious facilities of the resort. This is the perfect time to head to the Spa (optional) or linger in the Dead Sea Hydro Pool, the steam room, the sauna, the indoor/outdoor room – whatever takes your fancy and then enjoy a massage before an evening of Fine Dining to celebrate the end of your journey.
For your comfort and touring pleasure, we’ve capped this tour at just 16 people. Register today or you will miss out!

Travelling as part of a group shouldn’t preclude you from enjoying activities or experiences that inspire you and define the type of person that you are.
While the list of inclusion on every Amaco Small Group Tour is extensive, we understand that there may be certain experiences that may not be suitable or likely to appeal to the whole group or even a majority of the group. Rather than include these in the standard Solo Traveller Tour Package, we have instead opted to offer them as Optional Experiences which can be added to your personalised tour itinerary prior to departure.
This ability to further customise your tour is just one of the things that we believe separates us from other travel companies.
Once registered, we’ll send you an initial confirmation along with a list of Optional Experiences that you can select from. Some of these experiences may include:
PRE & POST EXTENSIONS
It’s not uncommon for participants to arrive at our tour destinations a day or two before the main itinerary begins to refresh and recuperate from any jetlag or to begin their explorations independently.
Our experienced team of travel professionals can assist you with this or alternatively can assist with extending your stay that little bit longer at the end of the itinerary.
Book your pre & post night accommodation at the same hotel we will be staying at during the tour and we provide complimentary private transfers from the airport to your accommodation.
Given everything that has happened in the travel industry of late – you’re correct to be vigilant about where you spend your travel dollar.
Amaco is not only a member of AFTA, the Australian Federation of Travel Agents and CATO, the Council of Australian Tour Operators, but we are also ATAS Travel Accredited – our latest compliance audit being completed in June 2021. This means we have met strict industry financial, operational, and management standards and criteria. Only the best industry agents achieve this accreditation meaning that you can travel with us knowing that you’re in safe and very capable hands.
With almost 30 years of experience, we’re on hand to provide a seamless journey. You may want to add additional travel destinations and adventures either before or after our tour. Our breadth of connections globally ensures you’re in good hands.
We encourage all travellers to make the most of their time away. This might mean departing earlier than the rest of the group and visiting other destinations before meeting up with the main tour staying on at the conclusion and doing some additional travel.
Either way – our travel advisers are perfectly positioned to assist you with making these arrangements and will do all the hard work for you – seamlessly combining your personalised itinerary with the group program.
The feedback we’ve received from our yearly survey and past clients is that there are many women who would like to travel but have a partner or friends that have no interest or time to go. They also want to travel but not necessarily solo. Past clients understand that Amaco has a wealth of over 30 years’ experience and has built a network of relationships in the industry which allows access to places not normally available to individuals. Traveling with women only allows us to engage with women of other cultures that may not be appropriate if men were present.
Amaco has kept their Women Only tours small, from 10 – 20 guests. It’s like travelling with a group of friends. This allows for instant connections and allows access to unique restaurants, experiences and locations a bigger group can’t access.
Yes!

Much has been said about the value of travel insurance – especially given the broad-based exclusion policies many underwriters have in place which protect them from claims resulting from pandemics and epidemics.
Amaco provides travel insurance from some of the most reputable companies in the industry including Covermore and NIB – and always at competitive rates. Over the last few months, there have been a number of enhancements to the policies available which many of the credit card policies do not include.
Please call our office and we will gladly work with you to obtain a quote from any or all of our insurance suppliers.
