A former Maharaja’s palace built in 1727 in the ‘Pink City’ of Jaipur, The Raj Palace Hotel is truly stunning and has been meticulously restored to reflect the palace’s original majesty and charm. A heritage and award-winning hotel, guests can expect to receive superb service across the two in-house restaurants, spa, private cinema, pool and decorative gardens.
The Raj Palace Hotel is brimming with antiques and artifacts from the days of the Raj including beautiful Oriental rugs, crystal chandeliers and rich fabrics. With impressive arches, ornate wall decorations, pillars and courtyards, not only is the palace spectacular, but the history of the place seems to come alive.
Rise to an early morning swim in the pool surrounded by several beautiful arches, sculptures and fountains. Then visit the Jaipur market for jewellery, textiles, carpets and various handicrafts. Return to the Raj Palace Hotel for traditional tea in the stunning Royal Lounge and then visit the hotel’s museum displaying exquisite 18th and 19th-century crockery.
The Heritage Rooms that we’ll be using have been restored and refurnished, and a few of them house museum-grade pieces from the Art collection of the Royal family. The bathrooms are laid in Italian marble and offer the best modern facilities and designer fittings. The rich palace furniture along with special fabrics and colours add a princely charm to the whole setting of the room.
Each room has its own soul, its own individual harmony combining the finest material, rare woods, silk, brocades, furniture and artefacts created by master’s craftsman. The royal guests and the junior members of the royal family had lived in these rooms.
